Ireland’s Companies Registration Office (CRO) launches API

I see over on Web 2 Ireland that the CRO have released an api.

This is great news because now developers can build applications around the data held by the CRO.

For some idea of what openData means, here is a video of Tim Berners-Lee (he who invented the world wide web) explaining why it’s important.
