I went to see the Bodies exhibition yesterday. It was definitely interesting, and judging by the queues, popular. They have signs up saying that all the bodies are treated with the respect that they deserve. I hope when I die, I’m not posed playing tennis minus my skin, or as in the case of one individual, sliced into thin sections to show what an MRI scan sees.
Having said that, it was fascinating. Some of the exhibits, like the arteries and blood vessels were beautiful.
I think anyone who smokes should go just to see the comparison between a healthy pair of lungs and those of a smoker.
I wouldn’t bother with the audio guide (€4 extra) as it doesn’t offer more information than the display cards on each exhibit.
All-in-all, it was worth going to see.
