Unfortunately, they (7Digital) know that they have the Irish market by the balls and their pricing reflects that. e.g. a single song (Lady Gaga - Bad Romance) on Amazon.co.uk is GBP 0.29 (EUR 0.32) yet on 7Digital it is EUR 1.49 (GBP 1.33)!!!

I would suggest http://ie.7digital.com/ as an decent alternative to iTunes.

Seems to have a good library of tracks and a lot without DRM.

I've been waiting for almost a year now for this alternative to iTunes DRM'ed and overpriced music. Amazon is the perfect alternative and will provided much needed competition. Unfortunately as with much of the goods on Amazon Ireland is excluded.

Is it the irish music rights people that are holding this up or are we just to small a market to be bothered with?

I do not mind paying for my music but I don't want DRM and I don't want to rent so again the only web site that seems to have what I'm looking for is the pirate bay.
